OVBC Church Services Update – March 18, 2020

During this challenging time as we are all dealing with the COVID-19 virus, we want to encourage all believers everywhere to lean ever more into the confidence we have in Christ and to trust in God’s providential covenant that we are in His hands.

At OVBC we believe our mission is to “Follow the Great Commission with the Heart of the Great Commandment.” During this time, loving our neighbor, our family and our community requires us to step and be as proactive as we can in helping to limit the potential spread of the virus, especially to this who might be most impacted.

To that end, and due to the updated directive from the Orange County Health Department, we have decided to temporarily suspend all face-to-face large gatherings for the time being.

In lieu of our weekly services and Small Group meetings, we are creating online virtual gatherings where we as the OVBC Family can continue to fellowship and be in God’s Word. We encourage you to participate and even invite others to be a part of the OVBC Family during this time.

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:16-20

16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them ina]”>[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

The Great Commandment

Matthew 22:36-40

36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
