What To Expect

Coming to Orange Villa Bible Church (OVBC) should feel like you are walking into a good friend’s home. We warmly welcome everyone and want to meet you right where you are.  If you are coming to visit us for the first time for one of our Sunday Services, you should expect to…

  • Receive a warm welcome: No matter who you are, where you are from, or what you are wearing, we are excited to have you worship with us at Orange Villa. Don’t be surprised if a total stranger comes up and genuinely wants to say hi and get to know you.
  • Hear a Christ-Centered Sermon: The good news of Jesus Christ is preached each Sunday morning, as we dig deep into Scripture to reveal God’s truth. Join with us as we shine light on the precious gift Jesus offers us in eternal forgiveness from all of our sins and an everlasting life spent with Him. Don’t have a Bible? No worries. Just ask and we will be happy to give you one.
  • Worship in Music and Prayer: One of our greatest joys is to lift up our voices in prayer and song to the Lord. We invite everyone to participate however you feel moved. Stand and lift arms or sit and just listen. And don’t worry about your voice, that’s why God calls it a joyful noise.
  • Hear About Ways You Can Get Involved: PLEASE don’t be shy about asking any of our leaders or members about how you can get plugged into life at OVBC. Our church family is excited to have you join us for small groups, upcoming events, and all the many ways in which we do life together. Also, please fill out one of our visitor cards on the table as you enter the sanctuary. Just drop it in the offering plate or give it to someone when you leave. We want to connect with you in any way we can.

  • Where are you located?
Finding us for the first time can be a little tricky. We are best known as “Oh, that church across the street from The Village Target?”
We are located on the South East intersection of Tustin Ave. and Meats Ave. in the City of Orange, CA. Simply go east on Meats from the intersection and make the first right on Park Lane. OVBC is right in front of you. The street makes a sharp left, but make a sharp right to get into our parking area.
  • Where do I park and enter?
Our main parking lot is located on the south side of the church. When you turn into the church driveway, you will be coming down the right side of the church. The parking area is immediately beyond that.  Park anywhere you like and yes we do have Handicap parking and wheelchair access.
The entrance to the main sanctuary is through the large double glass doors right at the front of the church.
  • What can I wear?
We have no formal dress code at OVBC. Come as you are. You will attendees wearing everything from flips and tees to those in their Sunday best (which might just be flips and tees). You will fit right in no matter what your own personal style is, from slacks to jeans, so we encourage you to dress as you feel comfortable. We simply ask that you dress respectively of being in God’s House.
  • Is child-care available?
We offer a Nursery program and a Kid’s Church for kids ages 4-12. Each room is staffed by a team of qualified and trained volunteers who love ministering to God’s smallest children
For mom’s who want to keep their infants with them during the main service, you are welcome. Again we simply ask that you be respectful of the other attendees. We do have a Quiet Room at the rear of the sanctuary with a changing table, chair and crib, and you can hear the message from there.
We generally invite the whole family to be part of our service until after the Pastor’s Prayer after which the children can be taken to their respective rooms by our volunteer staff. Children under three-years old will head to our Nursery (Room 204) and pre-school through sixth grade will head to Kid’s Church (Room 202).
  • What languages does your church speak?
We have vibrant English and Spanish services at OVBC! English sermons are usually preached by Pastor Rob or Pastor Dustin, and our Spanish messages are preached by Pastor Luis. On Sunday mornings, we all gather together in the Main Sanctuary to praise God as one body. Then, before the main message, the Spanish service splits off into Room 210 to hear the message delivered in their own language.
